Sharp Brain Consulting
For so many of us, non-profit organizations have significantly impacted our lives. From teaching our kids how to swim to taking lunch to our homebound loved ones. Every day non-profit employees are making deep and long-lasting impacts on the lives of their neighbors. But what about those employees? Are they being supported and taken care of?
Because employees are the heart & soul of organizations, our outcomes are only as strong as our employees and teams. Unfortunately, many organizations in the public service sector have not been able to prioritize employees’ well-being which has significant implications on our impact. The Sharp Brain Consulting team dreams about a different nonprofit sector - a sector that prioritizes employee well-being and belonging. A sector in which the voices of all our neighbors are represented in decision-making.
We hope to co-create a non-profit sector that is demographically diverse and prioritizes employee well-being and belonging. We provide organizational development support to employees, leaders, and board members.
Sometimes this looks like facilitating learning sessions and other times it looks like implementing an organizational audit to understand the current organizational culture. We believe in the power of non-profit organizations and are thrilled to be able to support these employees. If you think that our team can support you and your team, we’d love to hear from you!

expand the leadership potential of your staff
Even the best nonprofits experience challenges. Using information about the brain and the field of psychology, Jessica and her team can help your staff decrease burnout, understand unconscious bias and its impacts, increase leadership capacity, and increase organizational outcomes. We believe that organizations are only as strong as their people.
Increase your team’s sense of belonging
Dr. Sharp has transformed her research into content to help organizations cultivate a sense of belonging. Since humans need to feel a sense of belonging, workplace belonging should be critical to organizational leaders. Dr. Sharp can work exclusively with an organization’s leadership or an entire team to help deepen everyone’s relationship with one another and the organization at large.
improve your organization
Utilizing organizational development best practices, Jessica can consult with your organization to walk alongside your staff and leadership to improve your organization. This includes diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting and support.
increase tools for educators
Our education department works with K-12 staff, teachers, and administration to increase their tools for working with underserved and vulnerable populations. This includes training sessions about the brain, poverty, and trauma.
